Effective 2025
ANBF Membership Levels
ANBF Amateur Membership – $105 + 20% OFF
- Details: Grants access to any and all ANBF amateur events for one calendar year.
- Eligibility: Athlete can compete in any amateur divisions.
ANBF Pro Membership – $165 + 20% OFF
- Details: Grants access to any and all ANBF pro events for one calendar year.
- Eligibility: Athlete can compete in pro division(s) that they have earned via the amateur ranks.
Joint Pro/Am Membership – $235 + 20% OFF
- Details: Grants access to any and all ANBF pro and amateur events for one calendar year at a discounted rate for both memberships.
- Eligibility:
- Athlete can compete in pro division(s) that they have earned via the amateur ranks.
- This membership allows the athlete to compete as an amateur in any division they do not hold a pro card in, enabling them to earn pro status in multiple divisions. Once these statuses are earned, they can compete in the corresponding pro classes.
- Important Note: By selecting this option, the athlete waives the right to ever purchase a Universal Pro Membership.
Universal Pro Membership – $180 + 20% OFF
- Details: Grants access to any and all ANBF pro events for one calendar year and allows the athlete to compete in any ANBF pro division of their choice, regardless of whether they earned pro status in that division through the amateur ranks or not.
- Important Note: By selecting this option, the athlete waives all future rights to compete as an amateur in any division within the ANBF.
Important Considerations
Consultation: Before deciding between the Universal Pro and Joint Pro/Am memberships, athletes are strongly encouraged to consult with their coach, promoter, or organization head. This decision carries significant implications for their future career in the ANBF and should be made with careful consideration and guidance.
Provisions and Guidelines
Upgrading Memberships:
- 1.1. If an athlete with an ANBF Amateur Membership turns pro and wants to compete as a pro in the same division or become a Universal Pro within the same year, they can upgrade by paying the difference between the Amateur Membership and the desired Pro Membership. They do not have to pay the full cost for an additional pro membership. The athlete can choose between the Standard Pro Membership (competing only in earned pro divisions) or the Universal Pro Membership (waiving all future amateur rights and becoming eligible for any ANBF pro division).
- 1.2. If an athlete with an ANBF Amateur Membership turns pro and wishes to compete as a pro in the division they earned pro status in while also competing as an amateur in other divisions, they can upgrade by paying the difference between the original Amateur Membership and the Joint Pro/Am Membership. They do not have to pay the full price for both a Pro and Amateur Membership, nor do they need to pay the full cost of a Joint Pro/Am Membership. This allows them to compete as a pro in their earned division and continue competing as an amateur in other divisions.
Single Division Focus:
- 2.1. An athlete dedicated to competing in a single division does not need to choose between the Universal Pro and Joint Pro/Am Memberships. They can begin with an Amateur Membership, and upon earning pro status in that division, seamlessly transition to a Standard Pro Membership. The decision to select either the Universal Pro or Joint Pro/Am Membership arises only if the athlete intends to compete in additional divisions beyond the one in which they attained pro status.
No Reverting to Amateur Status:
- 3.1. Once an athlete competes as a pro in any ANBF division, they cannot revert to amateur status in that division. If an athlete chooses the Universal Pro Membership to compete in multiple pro divisions, they waive all future rights to compete as an amateur in any division within the ANBF.
- 3.2. The Joint Pro/Am Membership allows the athlete to continue competing as an amateur in other divisions and pursue additional pro statuses, but they forfeit the option to ever purchase a Universal Pro Membership in the future.
Acceptance of Outside Professional Athletes
Membership Requirements:
- 4.1. Mandatory Membership Purchase: Any professional athlete from outside the ANBF must purchase an ANBF membership to compete in ANBF events.
Membership Options:
- 4.2. Amateur Membership: Any outside pro has the option to start as an amateur when entering the ANBF. If they choose this path, they must compete as an amateur and waive the right to compete as a pro in that division until they have earned pro status within the ANBF.
- 4.3. Pro Membership: Ideal for athletes who have earned single or multiple pro cards through the amateur ranks in their original organization. Allows the athlete to carry over their pro status in multiple divisions if applicable. Restricts competition to pro divisions only, with no access to amateur events.
- 4.4. Joint Pro/Am Membership: Suited for athletes who want to compete in both pro and amateur divisions within the ANBF. Enables competition in pro classes earned via amateur ranks in an outside organization. Provides the opportunity to earn additional pro statuses within the ANBF by competing as an amateur in other divisions.
- 4.5. Universal Pro Membership: Offers unrestricted access to any ANBF pro division, regardless of original pro status. Waives all future rights to compete as an amateur in any division within the ANBF.
Overview:
This approach ensures that outside professional athletes have a clear and structured pathway to join the ANBF, whether they wish to continue their pro career or start fresh as an amateur. The options provided align with the athlete’s goals while maintaining the integrity and fairness of ANBF competitions.
Pro Masters Division Rules and Provisions
Masters Pro Status:
- 5.1. If you earn Masters Pro status in one or more divisions, or carry over Masters Pro status from another organization, you are only eligible to compete as a Pro in those specific Masters Pro divisions.
- 5.2. A Masters Pro in a division cannot compete in an Open Pro Division unless they also possess Open Pro status in that division.
Crossover Rules:
- 5.3. Open Pros in a division can compete in the Masters Pro Division if they meet the age requirement for that division or age into it.
- 5.4. An athlete who is only a Masters Pro cannot purchase a Universal Pro Membership at any time. Only athletes with Open Pro status are eligible for a Universal Pro Membership.
Earning an Open Pro Card:
- 5.5. A Masters Pro who wishes to earn an Open Pro Card in the same division where they hold a Masters Pro Card, or any other division must obtain a Joint Pro/Am Membership.
- 5.6. A Masters-only Pro who purchases a Pro Membership will be limited to Masters Pro events in the specific division(s) where they have earned or carried over pro status, which may result in fewer opportunities to compete
- 5.7. Masters 40+ is the only Pro Card eligible Masters Division.
Membership Recommendations:
- 5.8. Unless you hold multiple Pro cards, including a mix of Open Pro Cards, we recommend that a Masters-only Pro consider purchasing a Joint Pro/Am Membership to maximize competitive opportunities.
Special Invitations:
- 5.9. There will be special events where Masters Pros may be invited to compete in an Open Pro Division. Participation in these events is by special invitation only.
