Women’s Bodybuilding

Women’s Bodybuilding consists of group comparisons and individual presentations, tailor-made to highlight the strength, determination, and artistic presentation of female bodybuilders. Competitors are allowed to wear posing suits of any color, and while the choice of style is flexible, overtly revealing designs such as thong and T-back styles are not permitted. Participants must be 16 years of age or older to compete, and those under 18 must procure parental consent to participate.

In order to maintain the integrity and specialization of each category, competitors are restricted from participating in other categories within the same show. Any display of inappropriate or overtly sexual behavior, or any conduct that may be deemed disruptive or unsuitable for a diverse audience, including minors, will be grounds for disqualification.

Judging Criteria

In Women’s Bodybuilding, the judging criteria are meticulously curated to evaluate the athletes based on four fundamental elements: muscularity, definition, symmetry, and presentation. These elements are crucial in assessing the competitor’s overall body development and their proficiency in displaying their physique during posing routines.

Group Comparisons

In this segment, competitors will engage in two pivotal rounds, Symmetry and Muscularity, where they will be guided through a series of poses to showcase the various facets of their muscular development.

Symmetry Round:

  • Quarter turns (Front, Side, and Rear relaxed poses)

Muscularity Round:

  • Front or Rear Double Biceps
  • Front or Rear Lat Spread
  • Left or Right Side Chest
  • Left or Right Side Triceps
  • Hands over Head Abdominals
  • Hands on Thighs/Hips Most Muscular
  • Crab Most Muscular
  • Hamstrings Curl
  • Double Calf Raise
  • Left or Right Side Serratus
  • Left or Right Single Quadriceps

Individual Presentations

To highlight the unique artistry and individual expression of each competitor, the women bodybuilders are given a stage to perform a 60-second individual posing routine set to music. This allows the competitors the freedom to curate a series of poses that best showcase their physique and presentation skills. There is no mandatory inclusion of specific poses, offering the competitors creative liberty. While this segment does not contribute to the overall scoring, it plays a significant role in considerations for awards like the ‘Best Poser’.
